Minecraft Earth won't be stuck in beta testing for much longer. City2020 Mojang and Microsoft have announced that the augmented reality game will be available in "early access" for some countries starting in October. Although it didn't specify the platforms or countries that would be included in the beta, it did include both iOS and Android users.
Earth is a slight departure in the basic Minecraft experience. You can still create your own worlds in AR however, you can also take part in sharing Adventures which require you to fight enemies and other obstacles to earn rare resources. It's an extension of Minecraft that invites you to go out into the real world and socialize using world-building as the glue.
