Minecraft ditches Super Duper graphics plan

Minecraft will be keeping its block-based design for the foreseeable future , as plans to revamp its graphics are canceled.
Mojang, a Minecraft developer, announced that it had stopped development on the Super Duper graphics package for the game.
The pack would have offered realistic textures lighting effects, as well as better graphics.
The pack has proved "too technically demanding" so has been ditched.
'Disappointing'
The plan to make Minecraft appear more realistic was unveiled in 2017 at the E3 games show. The ambitious plan was to create an online add-on that completely dispensed from the basic, squishy appearance of the hugely popular game.
In 2017, Mojang said its work also would produce an add-on to the Xbox version of Minecraft that allows the game to run at a resolution of 4K on the console.
The Super Duper addon was originally set to be released in autumn 2017. However the release date was moved to 2018. The addon was later canceled entirely in 2019.
The technical demands of the update have proved to be too much, the update was said in a brief apology.
It said: "We are sorry for your disappointment - there was a lot of excitement for Super Duper both in and outside the studio, but we're not satisfied with the performance of the pack across all devices."
Mojang also announced that it's not finished in enhancing Minecraft's appearance on different gaming devices and promised to share more details in the near future.
