- RedditPocket Flipboard – Email
Minecraft players have the option to customize their games with a variety of mods and add-ons , based on the version they are playing.
Players who play Bedrock Edition will primarily use add-ons that can be purchased for real money in the marketplace. Java Edition players will use mods that they can locate, almost always for free.
Using addons in Minecraft Bedrock edition
Add-ons are available through the marketplace to those who play the Bedrock edition on Windows or consoles. Add-ons are available for free with Realms Plus subscriptions. All other packs cost real money (via Minecraft Coins), and can be purchased from the store.
Keep in mind that while some add-ons can be applied directly to existing Worlds or Realms (such as texture packs) Others that change the nature of the game will require you create the new Realm. Iq Balir Aquatic Life World packs will require you to design an entirely new World.
Mods in Minecraft: Java Edition
Java Edition users will need Java installed. After that, you will require downloading Minecraft Forge which matches your server version. A complete list of Minecraaft Forge versions can be found here. Double-click the.jar file to download Forge.
Java Edition mods can be available all over the world through websites such as Curse Forge. Click "download" to download the mod you want and then move it to your mods folder.
The mods folder is located on the drive on which Minecraft was installed. It is accessible by clicking "users," your Windows username, "App Data," and finally ".minecraft." You can also create a new folder and add your mods to it.
To play around with the mods you've installed, simply select "forge" from the list of available builds on the Minecraft Java Edition client.
