In the summer of 2020, Minecraft: Education Edition will take students in China on a new learning journey! We're working with Microsoft and a group of experts from around the world for the first time to modify the international version of Minecraft: Education Edition to Chinese students. We are welcoming Chinese students to join the Minecraft: Education Edition Summer Camp.
The two-month free summer camp provides a chance for students to experience learning in Minecraft while at home. 12 lessons, with recorded tutorials by lecturers will be free. MSMADRID In addition to the lessons that are recorded students will also get free access to more than 70 Minecraft Education Edition worlds. Learners will learn about The Secret of the Giant Tower and how chemistry can be used to create super fertilizer. They will also discover innovative ways to save an island that is covered in trash.
What do students can expect at the Summer Camp in China?
We have partnered with lecturers and educational institutions from around the world to create Minecraft: Education Edition China Summer Camp. Our partners include the top companies in programming for children, such as NetEase Youdao, Bell.AI, iandcode.com, Kodu.club, ChinaSoft International and other reputable certification bodies such as Cambridge Assessment English.
This Summer Camp is based entirely in the world of Minecraft and is designed to create an environment of fun and community through engaging 3D games in which campers explore their creativity, build, and enjoy the benefits of their own expression in the worlds they've built. The camp's communal learning setting will also help inspire creative thinking and problem-solving, all while fostering relationship-building as students learn together.
After completing all the classes that they have completed, the Minecraft adventurers will receive a certification for taking part in the camp. They'll also be able to upload their work on the internet so that other Minecraft enthusiasts around the world can see their work. There's even an element of friendly competition involved where students compete for prizes!
