Blizzard: 'no plans' to bring World of Warcraft: Shadowlands to Xbox Series X
World of Warcraft's 2020 expansion will not be available on consoles anytime very soon.

After months of speculation about World of Warcraft: Shadowlands coming out for consoles, an official from Blizzard said to Polygon that there aren't any plans to bring the MMO or its new expansion to consoles. However, that doesn't mean that it won't ever come out.
Players datamined controller support during the time that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands beta was first introduced earlier in the year. This feature originally made players think about whether the MMO would be able to make the leap to consoles as well. Blizzard released a statement on its forums that stated that the move was intended to increase World of Warcraft's accessibility and allow players to use controllers without the need to install an add-on.
A recent rating in Brazil has prompted speculation about World of Warcraft consoles.

Gematsu tweeted Monday that Blizzard was awarded a rating for World of Warcraft Shadowlands on the Brazil Ministry of Justice rating website. However, this rating was not correct according to Blizzard.
"We are currently not planning to bring World of Warcraft or Shadowlands to Xbox Series X," an official from Blizzard confirmed to Polygon. "The platform was listed on the Brazil Ministry of Justice rating website in error and the listing has since been updated to reflect that the game is exclusive to PC."
Although Blizzard hasn't yet confirmed that World of Warcraft or Shadowlands will not be available on consoles, it seems like the MMO won't be making the switch when Blizzard launches Shadowlands later in the year.
