Minecraft has been through a fair share of recreations. Whether it's a YouTuber making their own twist on Tetris, or just a fan creating their very personal Dark Souls game, there's no shortage of blocky takes on other bits of media. It's only natural to see that there are many Minecraft builders inspired by Lord of the Rings.
While the majority of the projects we write about are large in scale and intricate the one we've featured from DesignMinion is focused on the smallest details. DesignMinion posted a Reddit clip of a new door they had created. It's a stunning replica of the door that leads into the Mines of Moria. Some scoff at the idea that it's leading to an underground mine, while others are convinced that it's a tomb. The only thing we can be certain of is that this is a stunning door.
If you're looking at it and thinking about how DesignMinion did it they provide a comprehensive explanation that almost appears as if you're browsing through the IKEA catalog. "The line art is made of white concrete blocks. Stone deepslate, cyan, and Terracotta were used in the creation of the stone texture. The stone's'staircases' that rise towards the south, makes the stone slightly brighter.
DesignMinion created this canvas in Photoshop It then copied the Tolkien artwork and then turned it into four maps.

Another great detail is The Watcher which is a tiny squid character in this game however, it's a terrifying Hobbit-eating Kraken in the standard version of the world. The other effect of Sildur's Vibrant Shadowrs v1.32 medium that DesignMinion uses makes it glow is called Sildur's VIbrant Shaders Medium. Therobinsonsmusic It's a minor thing but it's an interesting nod to the Lord of the Rings that fans will love.
