Given the number of ranked pros who now play sit and go tournaments full-time, turbos included - there has been a push to develop mathematical decision modules. Chris Moneymaker won a CASE when he correctly guessed pocket Aces in 2003. Although you might argue that he was a bit lucky, he still walked away with millions.
I am curious what it takes to become a professional gambler. What do the pro's do that other gamblers simply don't? AA's are just as easy to play, but you cannot bet against AA's...players tend to call/raise all-in and you cannot afford to give away any pots good enough to make a decent return. With QQ's, you can afford to leak a small number of hands reasonably, and make a few small wins. You can even gamble with your hand if you add AK suited.
Sit and Go Pro's are sayulators. They do not like to play with other players, and many won't play at all if they lack the raw skill. You can make a lot of money by playing in games with amateur players. This is the bottom line of grinding tournaments to the pro's using the same variable that causes variance in the best computerized players-arbue, cold streaks, promotion's, war, anything that can reduce variance.
In the last two years I have been in the process of trying to turn from a patient punter who wants to know what he is doing and win, to a consistent winner who is looking for profitable opportunities. After hours of research, I found two tournaments that were profitable. They are the NPGA (15th National Golf Association) and "Stars and Panels", a precon-season. The NPGA is usually six weeks long and includes a lot of pre-season events. However, the stars or panels can last as long ten weeks!
I created a spreadsheet to calculate the odds for different poker variables. The RNG was used to determine these odds. I have more than 40 tabs that are followed during tournaments. I can complete approximately 1000 tournaments in an average hour. This is only possible because the odds that each ticket has of completing the tournament are about 20% inelastic, that is, the demand (demand) for the tournament is less than the supply (supply) of the tournament.
The average cost per spectator is $1,200. However this includes the airfare to and from the casino. This party is also enjoyed by the person who contributes $10,000 to the tournament. It can certainly be considered as a fee. The only other person I knew was the one who brought a satellite poker tourney that was supplying him with a lot losers. He was the only one that didn’t get up and leave with the money. http://nashnextcountry.com/poker-tips-how-to-become-better-players/ That was a sign that he was not smart enough for poker.
You want to learn how to win money poker. You want to have fun, you want win, but you also want to win. This is wishful thinking. If you aren't going to play, you can't purchase a ticket. This is an incentive. You need to plan your strategy to make the best you can and you can't afford to do that if you can't afford to lose your money. This is the mindset that will pay dividends when you win your first vacation at a casino. Because when you're guaranteed a profit, and you play smart, you will win big!
