Streaming is the Best Option For You

There's no indication that the shortage of graphics cards will end anytime soon. This is why more gamers are opting to stream games through GeForce Now, Stadia, or Xbox Game Pass. GeForce Now now offers an even more powerful level of service, letting gamers stream PC titles played on a remote RTX 3080 card with up to 4K resolution or 120fps. Previously available only as a pre-order option, the RTX 3080 model is now open to all for a cost of $99.99 for six months.



GeForce Now works a little different from its competitors at Google, Microsoft, and even Amazon. Nvidia's servers allow you to login to your Steam, Epic, Uplay and GOG.com accounts, and then stream the games you've purchased and linked to these stores. This is a great option for someone who has spent years collecting games for their PC. However, GeForce Now only offers a limited selection of games that are available through these stores. The list grows every week, with new titles added every week. But notable absences include titles from EA and Bethesda as well as Activision Blizzard and Warner Bros., Microsoft and 2K. GeForce Now is split into three tiers as of today which are: Priority, free, and RTX 3080. Anyone can sign up for the free tier for basic streaming up to 1080p/60fps, but more complex visuals are not available and game sessions are limited to one hour (after which you're able to hop back in, when servers aren't full). Priority tier is $10 per month or $50 for six months. It's more powerful graphics, but it's still only 1080p/60fps. The equivalent of an RTX 2080 is used to power the system, however Nvidia might reduce your hardware if you play less intense games. Streaming sessions with access to premium priority may last as long as six hours, and subscribers receive an unlocked copy of Crysis to showcase their new gaming experience.



The new RTX 3080 tier costs $100 for six months (no monthly option) with graphics powered by remote RTX 3080 "rig," 8-hour streaming sessions and graphics that can be upscaled to 1440p/120fps using an PC or Mac. Gametolia Subscribers who have an Nvidia Shield set top box can stream games to their television at 4K resolution , at 60 frames per seconds (if they have broadband access). GeForce Now can also be access on mobile devices using the Android App or a dedicated iOS portal. It can be used with any controller such as a keyboard, mouse or mouse on all platforms. Nvidia is celebrating the new high-end graphics options by offering an Shield TV companion box sale. For a short period of time, the standard Shield and Shield Pro will be $20 off ($30CAD, EUR25 or PS20 in other countries) with a six-month free Peacock Premium subscription in the America. If you're going all-in on streaming, the Shield's Android TV operating system is also able to stream games on Stadia and Xbox Game Pass.
