the feeling of desire and hope kills us. desperately grasping for this certain thing, you hope for, and it never being fulfilled, leaves us with nothing but sadness and unfulfillment 'til your death, unless you end up giving up on it at some point. we all yearn for something, and we all know how it feels to not have that thing in your hands. we can never stay desire free. wanting is part of our nature. feeling hope is also part of our nature. what we need to do is learn how to control it. no man who desires countless things will end up happy. feeling the need for so many things bring you down, has you thinking 24/7, "I really want this, why can't I have this thing, I hate my way of living." a good exercise I put whenever I feel down from desire is thinking about all the things, I desired before that I ended up getting later on. we don't take advantage of owning our dream items, especially as time goes on. we yearn for these things but then don't appreciate them once we got it. at first, we get excited about finally getting this thing, but then it gets more useless and less desirable in your head. I like comparing that piece of knowledge and putting it in the scenario with the stuff I want now. I understand when I get this thing it'll only catch dust after a few uses. are a few uses that much worth it to be suffering over how much you want it beforehand?
