The Holophone is Coming Soon! Amazon Set to Reveal 3D Handset

Amazon is today completing its first phone. It will be launched by Jeff Bezos within hours.



It is believed the the device will use retina-tracking technology to make images on the display appear to 'float above the screen like a hologram and appear three-dimensional at all angles.'



AT&T will be the first to launch the phone in the US, in a deal similar to the launch of the original iPhone.



Amazon's rumored holophone will be announced on June 18. The handset is expected come with a 4.7 inch display with HD resolution of 720p as well as the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, and six individual camera modules to produce the 3D effect.



It will run a highly customized version of Google's Android operating system similar to the one used on Amazon's Kindle Fire tablets.
