Minecraft and magic have come together a few times in recent. The most notable of those magical mix-ups is Spellcraft which is a free DLC that adds in over 20,000 different spells and some new ways to utilize the spells. However the fan-created EpicSpellsPlugin is definitely worth keeping an eye on too.
We posted about the plugin in May. It was remarkable enough at the time, but it appears that development has continued at a rapid pace since the time we wrote about it. As Morica_ on Reddit writes in a post that they've added the ability to cast spells without using commands. You now just have to change the name of a stick "Magic Wand" and then sneak around and draw symbols in the air.

The video shows a few spells and the ways you can tie them to different motions. It all feels very esoteric which is the kind of vibe that anything magical should strive for. Morica_ discusses a few more features in the comments, but the one that stands out is the one Morica_ mentions.
Morica_ said "Yes!" when asked about the possibility of creating custom spells. Although this probably won't happen within the next few months, I would like to see something similar. I also code spells to ensure that they can be used with premade items." This basically means that spells can be modified by using items already in the game. This could be the perfect method to live the Hogwarts Legacy without buying the game.
