Minecraft mobs are the living entities in Minecraft - a short form for mobile, these sometimes cute, and sometimes find aggressive creatures roaming the various biomes of the blocky universe. They will interact and respond to you, other players, and other mobs, regardless of whether it's a creeper knocking at your door, or a pig in the pen in your back garden.
Minecraft mobs are subject to the same physics and environmental changes that impact players, like getting caught in flames or drowning. They can be attacked and killed with weapons, and after they are killed, they drop resources and experience points, with mobs that attack dropping rare items occasionally.
In Creative mode, Minecraft mobs will never attack you, but can be classified into three different behaviour categories in Survival and Hardcore modes, which are neutral, passive, and hostile. Utility mobs such as the iron golem and snow golem can be designed to aid you in fighting off hostile mobs. The trusting mobs aren't able to be controlled, but have a special behaviour when interacted with and include dolphins, ocelots, and even the adorable Minecraft fox. Here's a list of the various monsters and mobs you can find in the vast Minecraft landscape.
Minecraft passive mobs
Mobs that are passive in Minecraft won't attack you, and will flee if attacked. They also breed, so you'll encounter babies in the same area. The majority of mobs that are passive can be controlled if they're not already. There are also the Minecraft village's inhabitants, such as traders and villagers. Other farmyard friends may offer resources, for instance, wool from sheeps or cow milk.

You can find Minecraft bees in flower forests or plains. You can also build beehives with honeycomb and wood planks.

Minecraft neutral monsters
Certain Minecraft monsters in this category behave differently, with spiders and cave spiders becoming hostile if the light level falls below 10.

Minecraft hostile mobs
Hostile mobs are aggressive and dangerous in Minecraft. They will attack you within a specific range, usually 16 blocks without obstruction. Flying mobs, such as the Minecraft phantom or the Minecraft ender dragon, will appear over you and attempt to attack you.
