Minecraft's annual event started out as a convention, but flipped to a streaming-only format in 2017 in an effort to maintain the tight-knit atmosphere to draw a larger audience. The event is now returning to an live experience, however, and has now more details to announce. The rebranded Minecraft Festival is now slated to take place in Orlando's Orange County Convention Center between September 25th and September 27th tickets are available beginning March 6th at 12PM Eastern. Mojang and Microsoft will be hosting a variety of events in addition to hearing the latest Minecraft news. Tickets are available starting March 6th at 12PM Eastern.
Tickets start at $60 per day, and $165 for three days. All attendees will receive an in-game Minecraft Festival cap, which is compatible with Java and Bedrock. Like most conventions, however, there are incentives to pay extra. The $225 Gold package grants you early access to exhibits and panels. Those who opt for the $300 Diamond package get access to a special lounge, as well as a bag and coat inspection.
This is a good thing even if you've missed the time of getting to meet creators and other fans. Minecraftservers Microsoft is taking a chance with the coronavirus outbreak that is currently in full swing. Although September is seven months away, it's unlikely that the outbreak will be completely under control by then. The Minecraft Festival will likely go ahead, but you might be prudent about planning your lives around it.
