Bratz began as a toy company in 2001. https://bratzmerch.com/ has since grown into a media brand with dolls, web series and TV shows. In recent years, Bratz girls have enjoyed a huge rise in popularity. Gen Z influencers love to dress up in Bratz style and they are highly favored. Although some may struggle to separate the brand from its origins, many style-conscious consumers today are totally on board with the #BratzDoll trend.

MGA Entertainment designed the Bratz fashion line using fluffy fabrics and asymmetrical silhouettes in order to appeal to younger customers. Matching sets were also available in the line. The dolls' initial debut was a disappointment. The dolls' asymmetrical designs and low-quality workmanship were disliked by most children. MGA responded by redesigning the dolls. The dolls were redesigned with taller bodies and platform boots.

MGA put an end to the Bratz brand following its lawsuit against Mattel. However, MGA returned in 2010 with a new product and a refreshed website. The Bratz brand was back to its roots in 2013. Fans can now get new Bratz products, including a doll line as well as a reality TV show.

The Bratz web series' first season was a 25-minute video in which all episodes were compiled. It is a parody on Simon Cowell (American Idol), and Byron Powell (a secret agent). Various Bratz characters are interviewed. This season was the Bratz brand relaunch.

Bratz Girls Nite Out is another spinoff from the Bratz Toy line. This series was inspired by Bratz: Rock Angelz, a cult movie. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment released it on DVD. Later, the series was made into a CGI-animated television program.

Bratz Collector is a third Bratz doll line. Hayden Williams, fashion illustrator, designed these dolls. These dolls closely resemble the original doll collection. The line was relaunched in celebration of the 20th anniversary. However, some early batches received mixed reviews. The collection now includes several models, such as the GCDS Sasha or Yasmin.

Bratz has been involved in numerous lawsuits. Mattel originally owned the property, and the jury found Mattel liable for its conversion into a toy line. The toy line was accused during the trial of copying Barbie dolls.

Bratz has sold over 125 million products around the world as of today. It is also the market leader in fashion dolls, with 40% of the market. MGA has made significant improvements to the product throughout its development. The dolls were originally sold individually. Bratz merchandise today is socially conscious and printed on high quality products.

Bratz launched a new look in July 2015. Bratz will have a new mascot and logo as well as a new slogan. Amazon currently has the Bratz collection available for purchase.
