そのことに対して幻想郷の管理者、紫は憂慮していた。
紫「霊夢は本当にいい才能を持ってるわね。まだ子供だから命の重さに対する考えが甘すぎるのが玉に瑕だわね」
紫「そうねぇ…霊夢もお腹に子供を身篭れば命について考えられるようになるんじゃないかしら。それも自分の望まぬ子をね」
その後日、妖怪退治に向かった霊夢は突然大きな文字が書かれている袋を被った男に襲われた。
霊夢は抵抗しようとした。しかし何故か身動きは取れない。不思議な、金縛りのような力が働いているようだった。
為す術もなく、とうとう霊夢は体の中心にある秘所への侵入を許してしまう。
霊夢「あ…あ……誰か…助けて………」
それでも袋を被った男は無言で自らの凶棒を霊夢の秘所に押し入れた。そして袋の男は腰を大きく震わせ霊夢の小さい大事な穴を掻き乱した。
霊夢はもはや言葉も出さず、ただ苦痛と悲しみを浮かべた表情を表した顔に一筋の涙を零しながら男の凶行に耐えていた。
それから何日か経って、霊夢は永遠亭の医者を訪れた。体や陰部に瑕がないか診てもらう為に。
すると霊夢は予想だにしなかったことを告げられた。霊夢はその腹に自らの子供を宿していたのだ。相手は考えられるのはあの憎い男でしかない。
「自分の子供」。それは霊夢にとって一度も考えたことがなかったものである。ましてや、強姦されて孕むなど夢にも思っていなかった。
自分の腹を見る度に蘇る忌まわしい経験。しかしそれを消すには腹の子を排除するしかなく、その為には罪なき子の命を奪うしかない。
どうすればいいのか。霊夢はそのことで頭がどうしようもなくなり、また一筋の涙を零した。
