Pandemic's upcoming World of Warcraft spin-off Wrath of the Lich King will add new gameplay mechanics, like the ability to complete quests to the board game with co-op based on the MMO.
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King- A Pandemic System Board Game This was announced as a crossover of Z-Man Games' popular co-op game about curing diseases and Blizzard's hugely popular online multiplayer RPG that is set in the Azeroth fantasy world.
Specifically, Wrath of the Lich King draws inspiration from the expansion to the PC game that has the same name in which players take on the role of World of Warcraft heroes including Thrall, Varian Wrynn and Sylvanas Windrunner - each represented by plastic figurines and fight against the Scourge before battling against the corrupted Prince Arthas Menethil, better known as the Lich King. Each character, just like the roles of Pandemic have a distinct power. These powers include extra armor and the ability travel to or attack adjacent areas.
The game's gameplay is based upon Pandemic's basic principles. Players move around Azeroth's cold continent of Northrend and can spend actions to remove the Scourge. These actions replace the original game's disease cubes. Scourge ghouls as well as the more formidable abominations can deal damage to players as they roll dice and use attack cards to defeat enemies, or block and heal with other actions and cards.
Instead of having to treat four different ailments, players will need to complete three quests. This is a new feature in Wrath of the Lich King which was inspired by the dungeons in World of Warcraft. There are nine quests available in the game. Three of these appear in every playthrough. the art of kerembeyit Once they reach the location of the quest, players can roll dice to progress through a line of symbols, with each player in the space being can spend on a card in their hand to advance additional spaces.
