If the four brothers were faced with a door with a broken knob;
Peter would fix the knob.
George would break the door down.
Wilhelm would learn about the door to find out what broke it and then how to use that to get it to open anyway.
Franz would use the backdoor, or a window.

Franz attempts to convince his brothers by saying that the old man tricked them into being royalty
This results in an argument over how each individual is fit to rule. Each had been planning to take the throne for themselves. Peter stitched Wilhelm's papers together. Wilhelm spied on George. George killed the people Peter saved. This is why Franz stole their gifts. That paired with Wilhelm's missed eye, and Franz's own bitterness.
Wilhelm claims he is the only one smart enough to hold the throne.
George claims he is the only one strong enough to hold the throne.
Peter claims he is the only one keeping their half of the kingdom together.

Wilhelm insinuates George's wife has been cheating on him "Not strong enough to keep Adelaide with you."
George readies a bolt
George insults Wilhelm, calling him mad. "You cannot even keep your own eye, how could you possibly keep a kingdom?"
Peter attacks at both sides, "You are both egotistical fools who are both too BLIND and WEAK to run this kingdom!"
George insults Peter, "And you are fit?! You are not even skilled enough to keep your patients alive!"
Franz pipes up, "Says the man who kills them because he is too bullheaded to make his own accomplishments." Wilhelm had confided in his twin, back when he was convinced he was stronger than his twin, and his twin uninterested in the throne.

Peter, "You have been ruining me, George?!"

Wilhelm, "His own accomplishments?! You remain convinced that our successes are worthless!"
Franz, "They are! None of you have ever done anything for yourselves! Unlike myself!"

George, "It was a mercy to the people!"

Wilhelm, "THIS is why you stole from us?! Your own petty jealousy!"
Franz, "And you were too blind to see me, and you too weak to stop me, and you too useless to continue without your little *gift*!" "Damnit, you tore out your own damn eye!"
Wilhelm, "I do what I must to see!"
Franz, "You see nothing but what you want!"
Wilhelm, "Nothing?!" Wilhelm reaches for his telescope.

Peter, "I was fixing them!"
George, "And I was saving them from you!"
Franz, "You've done nothing but use your cheats-!"
George, "You are a worthless thief, Franz!" George fires a bolt at Franz, aiming for his eye.
For better or worse, his eye socket facing the bloodshed did not have the capability to see the body of his twin fall.
Peter stitches George's mouth shut. "And you a vainglorious bastard!"
Blood ran down George's face.
Wilhelm, "Franz?! George- You mindless brute!"
George goes to shout, but his mouth is no longer there.
Peter grins and laughs, stumbling away from his work. Not happily. Deranged, sure. Almost delirious. "I have fixed you! You no longer have your lying words and cannot rule, dooming the people by being their voice!"
Franz crawls beneath the table and steals Peter's Needle, doing his best not to breathe.
George stalks towards his laughing, younger brother, swaying more and more.
Peter laughed more, bringing his bloodied hands to his face, "I fixed it! Now there's no more lies! The man who killed our father is dead, but I can fix him too! And Wilhelm, I can fix you-" Peter rambled to himself.
Franz rips the bolt from his eye and stitches it back together.
Wilhelm approached George, tilted his head appraisingly as he registered his complexion. "I'm too weak? You cannot even stand."
George's face turns red in rage with a lack of release. With that red comes a shade of blue as he reloads his crossbow. Peter had mistakenly stitched his nostrils as well.
Wilhelm lightly nudged his brother.
George sways and stumbles before falling.
Franz rolls out of the way, mistakenly stabbing through his brow. He dropped the needle and it rolled away from him.
George locked eyes with his eldest brother, but all of his shouts get caught in his throat. He tightens his hand around his crossbow's trigger. But nothing happened, as Franz had quickly stolen it out of the bow.

Peter froze and pointed to Wilhelm, "You broke him! Why- I just FIXED everything!"

In his rage, George gained the energy to roll onto Franz, both beneath the table, George wrapped his hands around Franz's throat.
Both are trapped in suffocating silence.

Wilhelm laughed, "And you all call ME mad. You've killed him, Peter."

Franz stretches his arm for the crossbow George had abandoned in favor of choking him.

Peter, "I did no such thing, I-"
Wilhelm, "I saw it. I didn't even need my gift for that. YOU broke him."

Franz could barely tug the bow close enough to him as the world darkened.

Peter, "You saw NOTHING! We all know about your lies! I'll fix it, I will- You won't be able to lie about what you see anymore."

George's fingers remaining tight despite his legs giving out drove Franz to quickly, one-handedly, load the stolen bolt into George's Crossbow.

Wilhelm, "I see only the truth, Peter!" He raised his telescope. "I know and see all, brother. And I will see your downfall for this!"
Peter rushed Wilhelm and pinned him against the table, "Franz was right, you and George can't handle your gifts-"

As the pressure in Franz' head reached unbearable levels, he held his brother's crossbow. The tears from the physical stress were quickly joined by those of emotional stress as he looked his younger brother in his matching, enraged grey eyes and pulled the trigger.

Wilhelm fought against his youngest brother, dropping his telescope to grab Peter's hands.

The bolt from his own crossbow, fired by his brother, punctured The Huntsman's skull, stabbing into the wall to the right of him, the sound overshadowed by the dropping of a telescope. The grip on Franz's neck loosened and he could breathe once more.

Peter grinned, "I'll just stitch George's hands together and your eye shut, then it'll all be okay! I can fix it, I'll just-" The tailor reached for his needle but did not find it at his side.

Franz quietly coughed as he nudged his body off, looking away.

Peter, "Fine. Fine. I'll just kill you, then I can-" He applied more pressure.
Wilhelm spat, "Kill me?! George wasn't enough?!"

Franz crawled silently beneath the table, towards the glint of silver he saw just outside of the table's cover, leaving the crossbow tossed to his left.

Peter, "*Then I can* FIX THIS!" He moved his hands over to his older brother's neck, watching another one of his siblings choke beneath him.

Franz throat burned as he tried to yell for his brothers, "Peter-" But no one heard him as he gripped the needle.

Wilhelm struggled beneath Peter's grasp, tugging at the hands wrapped around his neck, "Peter-" He choked out, one eye
bulging. He began to kick less and less. However, he was able to get a headbutt in against the youngest brother.
Peter lifted Wilhelm and slammed Wilhelm against the table, "Just stop fighting me! You could never let me succeed, could you?!"
Wilhelm's movements stopped altogether.

Franz' did not.

Peter smiled, "I'll fix you, don't worry, I just need my needle-"

Franz pulled Peter off of Wilhelm and plunged the needle into Peter's throat, causing more blood to spurt over the eldest.
Peter's hands left Wilhelm's neck and went to his own as he choked and bled and fell backwards, next to the bolt which ended the third brother.
Franz barely checked Wilhelm's pulse before going to Peter, "Peter- Peter, you'll be okay-"
Once Wilhelm was jostled by falling to the ground, he coughed and shook the darkness from his vision, catching his breath. As he focused his vision, he saw, in front of the youngest brother's body, a crossbow bolt. He followed it's trajectory to find the corpse of the third born.
The youngest had been stabbed through the jugular, severing it. He quickly fell unconscious, despite Franz shaking him.
"Peter- No-" Franz' hands shook. Seconds passed and then the tailor stopped breathing.

Franz stood and stumbled away. "Wil!" He turned to the younger twin.
While one identical face was horrified, the other grinned as he stood.
"YOU killed George. And Peter." Wilhelm laughed with a rough voice. "This is great! This- this- I own half the kingdom- I get to-"
Franz, "Absolutely not!"
Wilhelm, "What?!"
Franz, "I- You- No!"
Wilhelm's grin fell as he glared. He moved quickly.

Between the twins were four things.

A telescope in front of Franz, the corpse of the fourth born against the wall, the crossbow bolt stuck in the wall next to it, the corpse of the third born partially beneath the table, and a crossbow in front of Wilhelm.

Wilhelm now held the crossbow in hand, aimed towards his brother.
Franz, "Wil- put down the crossbow-"
Wilhelm, "No- No. You don't get to control anything anymore! No! I get to know it all! No more arguing between us all! I get the final say!"
Franz, "You are not able, Wilhelm, look at yourself!"
Wilhelm let out a sudden laugh, "Look at *myself*? That is your flaw, Franz. You assume we all share your ego. I do not need to look at myself, not when I can see ANYTHING and EVERYTHING else!"
Franz stared at his mirrored image for a moment, before quickly lunging for Wilhelm's Telescope.
Wilhelm quickly reoriented the crossbow's crosshair.
Franz, "I will break it, Wil!" He collapsed it in on itself.
Wilhelm, "You will *not*!"
Franz, "I will." He gripped it so tightly a small crack formed on its glass.
Wilhelm's grip on the crossbow shook, "You kill our brothers! You couldn't let us have any freedom, couldn't respect our gifts, and now you won't let me take what it rightfully mine!"
"You are a danger to yourself! And everyone else!"
"YOU killed our father and our brothers!"
Franz glanced the folded telescope in his hand, "I see your downfall. I SEE the kingdom BURNING if you are in charge. You are NOT FIT!"
Wilhelm, "You see it- That's-" He laughed, "That's impossible, it doesn't grant foresight!"
Franz looked at the crossbow and then his brother, "You don't believe me?"
Wilhelm hesitated. Franz slowly approached.
The eldest brother put the folded telescope against his twin's eye.
Wilhelm tightened his grip on the crossbow, "You liar!" Franz heard the mechanism go off, and he quickly opened the telescope before Wilhelm could pull away, it putting a hole through The Astronomer's skull. The second born fell to the ground.

The Fourth Born, The Tailor had his jugular severed by his own Needle.

Franz had blood over his neck.

The Third Born, The Huntsman had his temple pierced by his own Crossbow bolt.

Franz had blood dripping down the side of his head.

The Second Born, The Astronomer had his skull shattered and punctured with his own Telescope.

Franz had blood covering his eye.

Far away, the Father had his ribs cracked open from bludgeoning blows and his heart stabbed through with his short sword resting in his chest.

Franz had blood covering his front.

The First Born, The Thief, stole the objects as he dug the Needle from the fourth's throat, removed the Crossbow what would've been the third's line of sight, and tore the Telescope from the second's skull.

Franz had blood on his hands.
