WarCraft universe
Description of the Group
Games that belong to the Warcraft universe were created by Blizzard. The Warcraft series was initially a real-time fantasy video game that depicted a brutal conflict between Orcish Horde and the Human Alliance in the Eastern Kingdoms on the planet Azeroth.
The universe later expanded to include other continents within Azeroth (even more so via World of Warcraft) including Kalimdor in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Northend in Warcraft III: Frozen Throne as well as other planets such as Draenor the home of the original inhabitants of Orcs and Ogres which is featured in Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal.
A Warcraft III Reign of Chaos official scenario was released that featured an RPG-like version. The player was able to only have one hero to control. This eventually led to a more serious RPG: World of Warcraft.
As the series progressed , new creatures as well as civilizations and manipulation emerged. New races such as the Undead Scourge and the Night Elves, Tauren and the Burning Legion, Nagas, and others were introduced to the series. They play a greater role in the overall plot.
There was also an adventure game being developed, Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans, but it was cancelled in 1998. You can learn more about the game here.
