The Morning After: IPadOS 14.0 Brings Mouse & Trackpad Support

Hey, good morning! You look absolutely stunning.



The iPad is now, a few years after its debut it's now able to be operated using the trackpad or mouse. Yesterday's iOS 13.4 update for iPadOS and iOS added this feature together with a host of other useful features like third-party navigation apps for the CarPlay dashboard. The revamped iCloud file sharing will make it even more useful.



The browser is the most important thing to change. Minecraft Safari for iOS, iPadOS and macOS is now blocking all third-party cookies by default and is the first major browser to implement this. Google has announced it will do the same thing with Chrome, but not until 2022. The team calls this a "significant improvement in privacy because it eliminates any notion of exceptions or "a tiny amount of cross-site tracking is allowed." I'm more secure now, and I use Android.

Royole's FlexPai 2 is the first phone with Royole’s new flexible display.



Royole was the first out the gate with a foldable phone and now it's time for round two. Royole claims that the FlexPai 2 will have Royole's third-generation Cicada Wing FFD, which features a significantly increased bend radius. It's now only 1mm. The FlexPai 2 can still bend over 200,000 times, despite having a diameter of 3mm.



The phone will have the ability to fold more easily, possibly even superior to Huawei's Mate Xs, which has the same flexible screen that faces outwards. The company is collaborating with ZTE on future phones -- so perhaps you'll be more likely to encounter one in the wild.
