A few hours ago, Carl Manneh, Mojang's managing director tweeted that the Android version of Minecraft was now available for download on the Android Marketplace, albeit a bit late. We should have checked sooner however we were in the middle making sure the shingles were just right for Joystiqia the floating palace city.
We checked (eventually) and found that Mr. Manneh, sure enough isn't yanking our chains --- Minecraft: Pocket Edition is currently available for $6.99 on the Android Marketplace. You can also download a free demo to see exactly what you can expect for seven bucks.
Now, if you'll allow us, we'll need to get back to our palace. He's asking us to construct an enormous Chris Grant bust in the foyer.
