A few hours ago, Carl Manneh, Mojang's managing director tweeted that the Android version of Minecraft was now available for download on the Android Marketplace, albeit a little late. We could have checked it out immediately but we were in the middle of getting the shingles just right on our floating city, Joystiqia.
We did check and found that Mr. Manneh isn't yanking our chains. Minecraft: Pocket Edition is currently available for $6.99 on Google Play. You can also download a no-cost trial to see what you get for seven bucks.
