For those who don't have an Omni setup - or with onein the future - Minecraft has a brand new launcher on PC. To play Minecraft 1.6 and any future updates, you'll need the new launcher. This new interface supports multiple usernames within one Mojang account, however that feature isn't yet enabled by Mojang itself.
The new system will update automatically without the necessity of manually updating. Single-player content is also available offline. The launcher will attempt to connect to Minecraft servers if players are offline.
