Minecraft Snapshot 20w14a

Although we've just added every update imaginable to Minecraft, we thought that it would be a good idea to start the Nether Update snapshots from where we had left off. This snapshot introduces Zoglins!



New Features in 20w14a



- Hoglins who end up in the overworld become Zoglins fairly quickly - but who would ever send a Hoglin to the Overworld? Compasses are now enthralled by Curse of Vanishing



Zoglins



- Zoglins are zombified Hoglins as a result of bringing a Hoglin into the Overworld - Unlike Hoglins they can't be bred or fed and they don't seem to worry about warped fungus. Beware, these monsters are extremely agitated and attack just about everything they see!



Changes in 20w14a



The main menu background is now located in the Nether - The General statistics list is now alphabetically sorted - Strider balancing



Strider Balancing



- Strider speed when mounted has been significantly increased to be more similar to boat speeds - Warped Fungus on the Stick now has a maximum damage of 100 item damage, and only takes 1 damage per Strider consume - When Warped Fungus on a Stick is combined with Striders and the boost is a great way to traverse the lavas



Technical Changes in 20w14a



The compass now contains LodestonePos, LodestoneDimension and LodestoneTracked data fields. If LodestoneTracked is zero it does not look for a Lodestone at the location specified. - Attributes are now added to game registry, similar to items, audio events and sound events. - Region files are now opened in synchronous mode to improve reliability



Game registry has been updated to include attributes. This means there are only a few changes.



- Entities and items do not have unidentified attributes anymore

Region files are now open in synchronous mode to avoid data loss and corruption following a the crash.



Dedicated servers can disable this by changing sync-chunk-writes within server.propeties
