Xbox Live Gold is a monthly membership plan that is necessary for online gaming and, while it gives you two free games per month, that's not its main purpose.



On the other hand, Xbox Game Pass is the service offered by the company that gives access to hundreds of games at one monthly fee.



They can be purchased for separately and the best part is that you can get both, plus PC Game Pass, EA Play, Cloud Gaming and access to exclusive discounts on games for a single, less expensive price. What is Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate?

Xbox Games Pass gives you access to more than 300 games to download and play on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S for a monthly cost.



If you upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you also get Xbox Live Gold, PC Game Pass, EA Play and access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, all for the same price.



You can download the games and play whenever you want for as long as you pay the monthly fee. Certain titles may become unavailable as new ones are added, however, you can purchase any of the games at a discount price.



Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the original Xbox games are all part of the lineup, the latter two via backward compatibility. So there are plenty of top games to pick from.



Microsoft releases new games of its own and a variety of third-party games on the same day they're released in stores. This includes Halo Infinite, Bethesda’s new sci-fi RPG Starfield.



It could also encompass all of Activision Blizzard's vast back catalogue of games after the acquisition is completed by Microsoft including new and legacy Call of Duty games.



The included Xbox Live Gold also gives members exclusive discounts on a variety of games available on the Xbox Store.





How much will Xbox Game Pass Ultimate cost?

Xbox Games Pass Ultimate is priced at $14.99/PS10.99 for a month. You can cancel at anytime.



As mentioned, it comes with Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Games Pass for PC and EA Play. Cloud Gaming, Microsoft's cloud-based service, is available in Ultimate at no cost.



The standard console-only version of Games Pass doesn't include Gold, EA Play, Cloud Gaming or the PC version. It costs $9.99/PS7.99 a month. The PC-only version costs $9.99/PS7.99 per month. SPIDERMANGAMING Ultimate is clearly the better deal.





What games are included in Xbox Game Pass?

Xbox Game Pass will always offer more than 300 games comprised of Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and original Xbox backward compatible games.
