It's always amazing to look at an awesome Minecraft design. Minecraft isn't a game about inheriting a bizarre shape-shifting gun and needing to take on refrigerators that are evil, but that is a highly simplistic description of Control. This is a great comparison, especially since we're about to examine this Control-inspired Minecraft build.
Ominous_Hippopotamus from Reddit who is the owner of our favourite handle of all time, has posted a video of a hardcore base they've been working on inspired by the brutal beauty of The Oldest House from Control. The Oldest House is an immensely strange place filled with bizarre trinkets, weapons, and beings from other realms. The entire place can best be described as a bit spooky. Ominous Hippopotamus captured the entire scene in a video.
While we only get a brief glimpse inside the base, it is incredibly precise. The visitor is welcomed by the wide atrium and a welcoming plants. However the video then turns a corner and exposes the bizarre geometry that extends out and creates a twisted the space.

It's a stunning recreation of the area and, although it's unlikely to have Hiss floating around and creating chaos, it's a solid reminder of how much care and attention is put into the structures you can see in Minecraft. It's clear that a lot of work and time was spent to make it look authentic. The lighting is especially captivating.
It's the same care for detail that has players building things like the Ghostbusters theme song from Redstone, or making a data pack to allow you to play around with Breath of the Wild abilities. We're not certain if it's the same kind of passion that makes people turn bees into Steve.
