Minecraft's Ray-tracing Beta is Available on PC this Week

Ten years have passed since its launch and Minecraft remains one of the most loved games of our time It's now getting a new look with ray tracing. This is the most advanced form of gaming graphics. It mimics the physical behavior and light to give games a cinematic-quality rendering.

NVIDIA announced that it was working on realistic visuals for Minecraft in the past year. They will be available to Windows players from April 16th. In beta, the release will be the familiar Minecraft single-player experience but with shadows, reflections, ray-traced rays lighting, and custom, realistic materials. minecraft-servers.me Plus, you'll get to explore six brand-new RTX worlds that were created by community creators. These worlds comprise Aquatic Adventure, Imagination Island and Neon District, are available for free in the Minecraft Marketplace to gamers with Minecraft Windows 10.

Additionally, the release that is focused on visuals comes with physically-based rendering (PBR) which means that surfaces will appear a lot more realistic, whether they're rough stone or glossy smooth ice and to help with the work required to run this in the background and to make it all work, there's NVIDIA's DLSS 2.0. This new version of NVIDIA's AI upscaler makes use of RTX Tensor cores to process an image with a lower resolution and then upscale it to your desired resolution, purportedly doing a much better job than the initial feature that was launched with NVIDIA's RTX cards.

Since it's still in beta, you can expect a few issues at this stage. The beta doesn't include some features, like multiplayer realms or third-party servers or cross-play. There are still a few design issues and some dimensions haven't been optimized for Ray Tracing. Meanwhile, banners are black and slime mobs have no face. These are the kinds of things that will be ironed out in due course. The release date has not yet been announced. Developers want to hear from the community about the beta release.
