Old School RuneScape's 150th Quest as a Kingdom Divided Lives

A Kingdom Divided, Old School RuneScape's 150th quest, is now available in-game for PC, Mac, Steam, iOS, and Android players, and comes with cross-platform game play. The eighth installment in Old School RuneScape's lore-filled Great Kourend quest series, this quest for experienced players continues the Kourend Council storyline, which has been in development for more than four years.



A Kingdom Divided lets players peek at the underside of the Kingdom of Great Kourend's façade of peace and prosperity to expose corruption allegations in the Kourend Council. The players must face more than the Council's political games. There's a deeper conspiracy, hundreds of years in the making, and a more powerful force is now gathering in the kingdom , one that could alter the face of Gielinor forever.



Rob Hendry, Executive Producer, Old School RuneScape, said:



"With some of the most rich lore in Old School RuneScape, players enjoyed Great Kourend when the kingdom hosted our first competitive Leagues event, and now it's the perfect location for a quest that explores corruption and conspiracy within its ruling council. Although A Kingdom Divided is a quest for experienced players, Old School already has more than 700,000 players who have completed the previous seven instalments of the questline and are ready to tackle the case.



"And as with the new content that is added to Old School, the addition of A Kingdom Divided arrives with players' approval. We surveyed the quest with players, and it was approved with a very high approval rating, attracting more than 30,000 votes and with 92.7% of players voting for its inclusion. We're now eager to see how players tackle the insanity of the Kourend Council to ensure that Great Kourend is a kingdom divided no more."



Completing A Kingdom Split will reward players with 26 new spells for Arceuus Spellbook. In addition to two quest points and 10,000-experience torch, it grants them two quest points, two quest points, a 10,000-experience torch and an increase in Kharedst's Memoirs charges to 60 and a respawning point at Kourend Castle.

The content is now available in Old School RuneScape. The login screen for the game has been updated with A Kingdom Divided-themed artwork. It now includes the winning artwork of a participant from an Old School community contest. The winner's artwork was voted on by more than 30,000 people.
