BBC Radio Manchester hunt most unique fundraiser

BBC Radio Manchester is on the hunt for Greater Manchester's most unique and creative fundraiser.



We would be delighted to hear from you about how you are raising funds for children in Need this year.



Are you going to jump around the Pennines? Will you make vow of silence for seven days? Perhaps you'll paint your body in the color of Pudsey for a full week...



Get in touch with BBC Radio Manchester and let us know what you plan to do, as well as the time and location you plan to complete it.



One charity will be chosen and the winner will be awarded two tickets to this year's BBC Children in Need Manchester concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena, Thursday 17 November.

The competition will run from 09.00am Monday 31 October to 21.00pm on Monday 14 November. All applications must be received by 21.00 pm on Monday 14 November 2011.



The applicant must be 18 years of age or over.



Two tickets to the BBC Children in Need Manchester concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena are included in the prize. Other expenses, such as travel, will not be covered.



Terms and Conditions



1. Entry is open to all residents of the UK aged 18 or over including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, except BBC employees and their immediate relatives, or anyone associated with the competition. You may be required to prove your identity, age and eligibility.



2. Entrants are asked to send in the following by email to [email protected]



*Information about the fund raising activity



A brief description of where and when the event will be taking place.



All entries will be screened and verified and potential winners may be visited by a staff member of BBC Radio Manchester. Other entry methods are not permitted. One entry per listener is allowed. Multiple entries from the same person will not be counted.



3. Entry will be accepted starting at 09.00am Monday 31st October 2011 and ending at 21.00pm Tuesday 14th November 2011.



4. All entries must include their name and phone number. Unreadable entries, incomplete entries or entries that are not received within the entry window will not be considered.



5. A panel made up of members of BBC Radio Manchester will judge the entries based on the following criteria:



*Originality We are seeking new ideas, and we will not accept any that has been done before. A fundraising event that stands out form the other fundraisers.



*Effort Do you have to overcome obstacles to realize your dream? Was there an extensive amount of planning involved. Did you rope in the assistance of a group of thousands?



*Impact. Does it have the wow factor? Will people notice it? Is there a compelling story that is behind the fund raising?



Each requirement will be scored out of the possible ten. The contestant with the most points will be declared the winner.



It is not allowed to accept anyone who has a business, family or personal relationship with any of the panel members.



6. If an entrant isn't able to be reached after reasonable efforts have been made, the BBC reserves the right to refuse to move that entrant further in the contest and move onto the next best contestant.



7. The prize will comprise of two tickets for the BBC Children in Need Rocks Manchester concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena on the 17th of November, on a Thursday. There are no other costs or expenses that will be paid, including but not including travel or accommodation.



8. The BBC's decision as to the winner is final. There will be no correspondence in relation to the contest.



9. The BBC is not accountable for any failure by the ticket holders or winners to gain entry or re-entry to the Children in Need Rocks Manchester event due to the behaviour of the ticket holder or their failure to comply with the admission requirements of the event. Tickets holders are responsible for checking the entry requirements of the venue.



10. Participants must agree to take part in competition publicity.



11. Your personal information will be used only by the BBC to manage this competition. We will not publish your personal information or share it with anyone not connected with the competition. We will archive all entries sent via email to a secure database and will erase all personal information six months after closing of the competition. The winner's details may be retained for as long as necessary. Please visit the BBC's Privacy & Cookies Policy (www.bbc.co.uk/privacy) for more information.



12. The BBC reserves the right to: (i) amend these terms and conditions , and also alter the rules of competition, including but not limited to opening and closing times; (ii) disqualify any participant who violates the rules or has done so in a fraudulent manner or has acted fraudulently in any way. (iii) end the contest at any stage, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if there are circumstances outside its control.



13. The BBC or their sub-contractors subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot take any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other issue that occurs with any system, server or network or otherwise which may result in an entry not being properly logged.



14. Contestants will be deemed have accepted these rules and to accept to be bound by them upon entering the competition.
