Today's MMO Report is sad to report that it is without Casey Schreiner. It's all good, Morgan Webb from G4 has been appointed to cover Casey's 30th birthday.
The first thing to do is the announcement that NCSoft will be shutting down the North American Lineage servers on June 29th. All accounts that are inactive for the 13-year-old game are now active, and the game will be accessible for free until the servers go dark.
We are now moving towards Guild Wars 2, the highly anticipated sequel. This confirms that Lion's Arch - a social hub that was featured in the original game - will return in Guild Wars 2. The next thing is screen-time for Minecraft. MINECRAFT SERVERS LIST Although the game isn't really an MMO however, it's evident that Minecraft has enjoyed immense popularity within the gaming community. Morgan reports that Minecraft creator Notch is thinking about holding an Las Vegas launch party... perhaps a convention tentatively dated for November 11th.
Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Sith Inquisitor trailer was released earlier this week. Morgan described the class as "the one character you shouldn't have in the dark corners of." It combines elements of spellcasters and stealth into one force-driven combination.
We also have a fly-through of the Ether Saga Odyssey's beginning zones by Perfect World Entertainment. The free-to-play MMO launched late last month.
