Keeping your eyesight so fresh and thus clear, about the cheap
Whipping past low hanging branches within the trees, ice, snow, as well as the occasional yard sale can wreak damage to your favorite gear. But while a number of small dings in your helmet won’t render it unusable, scrapes and scratches on the goggle lenses can impair you vision and aren’t cheap to switch.
Nothing stings like simply because first nick on your completely new set of two goggles—especially if the effect of a bonehead move like dropping your goggles inside parking lot gravel (guilty!). Even typical wear and tear eventually beats on your gear and yes it doesn’t stay new for very long.
sunglass lens protection film , I tried to snap protection precautions for my newest set of two goggles and gave the Ripclear Goggle Lens Protectors a whirl. The anti-scratch, anti-fog plastic film continued my lens just as easily as the screen protector on my phone. There’s no cutting or sizing to fit since the lens protectors are sized small, medium, large, and children, and there’s a cut generated for either flat or spherical lens shapes.
The super-thin plastic film doesn’t go all the way to the advantage of my goggles, but didn’t hinder my vision. One protector survived an entire season of deep tree skiing and car park mishaps without peeling up across the edges. I used the included microfiber cleaning cloth and cleaning wipes at the end of each day to keep my lens clean and clear. When the lens protector did suffer several scratches, it peeled of as quickly mainly because it was applied. I slapped a fresh one back on my own untarnished lens (it arrived a 3-pack) and I’m ready to go again next season. Pretty simple, pretty genius.
