Technoblade, Popular Minecraft Creator Died of Cancer at 23

LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) - Technoblade, a top YouTube creator who was a specialist in Minecraft let's-play video was killed a year after he revealed a cancer diagnosis according to the family statement. He was 23.



Technoblade's YouTube channel has shared an emotional YouTube video where the YouTuber's dad revealed that his son was dead. His father stated, "He was the most amazing child anyone could dream of." "I really miss Technoblade."



The video uploaded Thursday, titled "so long nerds," included a posthumous note from the creator to his followers, which was read by his father. "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. Technoblade's message revealed his real name was Alex. "Thank you all for supporting my content throughout the years. I'm convinced Technoblade would be my preferred choice if I had another hundred lives. Those were the most enjoyable years of my life.



Technoblade's online shop has a message that says "In memory of his passing, a portion of all orders placed online will go to an amazing organization known as curesarcoma.org." This link is to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.



Technoblade, who's online avatar was a crown king pig currently boasts 10.8 million viewers on his YouTube channel. "I play video games too often. His YouTube bio states that he might not be the best but that he does have hot elbows.



The video was released on Thursday along with the statement: "We, the Technoblade family, wanted to let you know how much he loved and valued his fans. From Technoblade's earliest online days the founder was always thinking of ways to please and delight his audience. He was able to maintain his good-natured humility despite his successes and maintained a charming balance between his confidence and his self-deprecating humor. We ask you to respect his wishes to keep his identity secret and to prevent him from becoming famous.



The statement continued, "This year has been difficult for our son as we have fought cancer in stage four." But he didn't complain, and kept using his famously shrewd mind to overcome what he knew were almost impossible odds. My son's bravery in this situation was a shining lesson to all of us who were fortunate enough to be with him. Thank you for sharing his journey through it all as he completed the work he enjoyed for his beloved fans."



According to his father, Technoblade recorded his final message to his fans just eight hours before his death. ANOTHER FORUM The father of Technoblade said that while Technoblade didn't say everything he wantedto say, he did get the main points.



Technoblade announced the diagnosis of cancer in August 2021. He stated that he felt discomfort in his right arm since the beginning of August. At first, he thought it was due to repetitive stress injuries from playing. But after several days after that, he noticed his shoulder was swelling and he thought that he might have a fractured bone. Then, he was diagnosed with cancer.
