This should install all dependencies that are required for Debian-based distributions like Ubuntu. NBJYXSPA You can also install the package via the terminal if your environment does not have a visual package manager.

On Arch and Arch distributions the package is available as minecraft-launcher from the AUR. AUR is a repository for community for packages. The Arch Wiki provides more details about how to use it.

On other distributions, you can download the launcher's raw files as an archive, then extract them from somewhere, and then use them in any way that works for you (from a terminal, creating shortcuts, etc.). Java and some dependencies will be required, which are likely to be installed on standard Linux desktops.
