How do you get Into Minecraft Betas

Each week we release early versions of Minecraft updates to test out new features, shake out the wrinkles and squish the bugs before they reach more people. It's a cool way for players such as yourself to check out the new things we're working on before it's released!
MINECRAFT SERVERS


If you are excited by the idea of learning new things, and aren't worried when you encounter bugs, consider the platform you're interested in.



But be awarethat these versions are by their nature unstable and the game is likely to be weird or plain wrong. The game may crash and your creations could get corrupted. It's a tiny risk, but a risk nonetheless!



We release regular test versions of the Java Edition. To enable Snapshots, go to the Launch Options tab, then click the arrow next to the Play button in the main tab.



XBOX ONE



Xbox One now has Minecraft Preview It is available for free for all owners of a digital copy of Minecraft. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass later in the year. Preview is not available for Disc owners. Find out more about Preview on the Minecraft Preview FAQ!



WINDOWS 10 & 11



Windows is now offering Minecraft Preview for free to all Minecraft owners and subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. You can find out more about Preview by checking out the Minecraft Preview FAQ.



IPHONES AND IPHONES AND



iOS now offers Minecraft Preview. Players can sign up via this link to be notified when slots become available. Although the slots are not unlimited however, we'll open more regularly, and get rid of inactive players in order to allow new players to join. Android offers a Beta program that you can join at any time, even if you already own Minecraft. It is important to note that when you join this Beta you replace your standard version of Minecraft with the Beta version. Additionally the Beta version does not have access to Realms or Featured Servers, and is limited to playing in multiplayer worlds with other Beta players.



To join the Android Beta, click here and then click "Become a Tester." If you decide to decide to leave the Beta then you can follow the same link and then "Leave the program" to do so. After leaving , you'll have to uninstall and then install Minecraft to get back to the version that is officially released. Be aware that the worlds created during the beta program might not be playable outside of the beta until the next release.
