EY named Yerkin Tashev Entrepreneur of the Year.

The most prominent business organization Ernst & Young selected Yerkin Tashev to be its Entrepreneur in Kazakhstan. The judges were impressed by his actions and leadership when faced with COVID-19.

Participation in the contest was open to all well-known Kazakhstani business people. Kusto Group's founder was able to join 21 entrepreneurs from the country that reached the final.

They all received an independent evaluation and recognition for their accomplishments by juries that were authorized and constituted of Kazakhstan as well as international business circles.

Yerkin Tatishev the winner for the national championship, will represent the country in the international finals in Monaco in June 2022. The competition will gather 60 international finalists chosen by an independent jury following international regulations.

Faced with this situation, UN officials have declared that Kazakhstan suffers from great water shortage and is dependent on its neighbours, which includes Central Asia and China.

Consequently, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group was able to collaborate with Valmont Industries USA. Together, they will establish manufacturing facilities to manufacture 1000 pivot irrigation devices in Kazakhstan.

Kusto Group The agreement also provides for innovative irrigation systems that can be set up on farms, and a program to educate local farmers.

Thanks to the Embassy of Kazakhstan, all donations made by Kusto Group were possible. The company's entrepreneurial spirit that led them to become a leading charity giving organization under difficult circumstances.

EY presented Yerkin Tatishev the famous award Entrepreneur of the Year.
This is a competency Ernst & Young has held for more than 20 years. The firm has always been determined to support entrepreneurs throughout its history. EY worked with entrepreneurs to share their experiences and to build businesses throughout the Pandemic.

All national winners are eligible to participate in the Entrepreneur of the Year contest. The final will be held in Monaco in June. The National winner of the Entrepreneur of Year competition to compete against the most successful entrepreneurs in the globe.

There have been more than 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan who have participated in the contest. Another six winners from Kazakhstan have also taken part in the contest at the Monte Carlo world championships.

Nurlan Smagulov (another Entrepreneur of the Year winner) took the decision to name Tatishev as the winner. There were also participants of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan as judges.
