The original, PC version of Minecraft recently reached 15 million in sales according to a tweet from the game's creator, Markus "Notch" Persson. In February the game was sold 14 million copies on PC. It also hit two other milestones across other platforms: 12 million copies on Xbox 360, and 21 million for Pocket Edition on Android or iOS.
Minecraft first came out in beta form in May 2009, well before its official release in November 2011. Mojang is a game developer. playing games is always fun It recently launched the subscription-based Minecraft Realms services for hosting multiplayer worlds. It costs $13 per month. It plans to launch a boxed retail version of the game on PS3 in May, which sold one million copies digitally within the first month of its release on PSN, as well as PS4 and Vita versions in Q2 or Q3 of this year. The forthcoming Xbox One version of Minecraft will allow players to transfer their saved worlds from Xbox 360, just like the versions for the above Sony systems. [Image: Mojang]
