Gamescom 2022: how to Watch and what to Expect

Gamescom 2022 will unveil new information for Minecraft Legends and Sega's Sonic Frontiers and could reveal more on Modern Warfare 2 and Bethesda's Space RPG that is coming out Starfield. It's the first live Gamescom since the year 2019. However, you can still watch the opening night stream hosted by Geoff Keighley, from the comfort of your own computer. Here's how you can stream Gamescom 2022.



Gamescom 2022 starts on August 23, and if you're watching from the UK the event starts at 7PM, with viewers from the US East Coast able to watch until 2PM, while those on PT can begin at 11AM.



The most important and most confirmed news is the reveal of more details and possibly additional gameplay footage from Sonic Frontiers. But host Geoff Keighley also confirmed that the Gamescom Opening Show will feature "30+ Games" It's possible that 2022's biggest releases and 2023's will be teased.



Call of Duty: Vanguard got an extra gameplay trailer during the last event, so Modern Warfare 2 seems like an excellent choice for this year. There's also the possibility of God of War: Ragnarok, FIFA 23, and the upcoming survival horror The Callisto Protocol. Just say yes Our personal top-ranked list includes Dead Space, the remake of Resident Evil 4, and obviously Starfield, but currently, all we can do is speculate and pray.



The opening ceremony will be streamed live on the official Game Awards YouTube and Twitch channels. Along with the above dates it's worth tuning in half an hour earlier, as previous events have included an opening show that, often, has announcements and new gameplay footage. Of course, if you're thinking of making the trip to Cologne, Germany, and watching Gamescom in person, you can still purchase tickets from the event's official website. Xbox will have its own stream at Gamescom where it is scheduled to stream Minecraft Legends and A Plague Tale : Requiem. You can stream it through any Xbox social media channel, including YouTube.
