Updates are coming soon We've been receiving weekly snapshots through again. However, things aren't what they seem. While 1.20 is the new major update being worked towards the snapshot also includes a lot of features that are planned for the minor 1.19.3 update due out very soon. The development team stated in a different blog post that they plan on release minor updates more frequently while they build the major ones.



We'll run through everything that's in this snapshot, you can then dive right into it and begin playing on Minecraft Java Edition.





Experimental features





The latest update will include 1.20 features mixed in with 1.19.3 features. The developers have added a new feature switch to the menu. This will make it easier. These will let both developers and users switch off features that are not needed and turn them on off from the "data pack" menu when creating a new world , letting users test features that might be incomplete without having to remove them in order to get official updates.





1.20 includes





Minecraft The major features of update 1.20 have been announced at . This includes camels, chiseled bookshelves, bamboo wood, and hanging signs. The items are all included in this photo and are ready to be tested. You can read our review of the MinecraftLive announcement for a more in-depth look at each one.





Creative inventory changes





If you're not familiar with the basics of Minecraft the creative inventory can be confusing. This update should make things a lot easier. The tabs have been revamped to keep the same kinds of blocks together. Instead of listing every type and variety of wood log, and then every kind and variety of wood plank, it will list all items that are "oak" and then "birch" and it will go on.



Items that fall in different categories will be displayed in multiple tabs instead of being forced to fit into one. You can still search using the search bar if do not want to switch between the two.





New wood sounds





A nice little touch is now added to all of the different types of wood, as they will now make different sounds when they are placed, broken or stepped upon. They are divided into three groups that are called nether, overworld and bamboo. This allows you to distinguish different types of wood and adds some audio variety to your Minecraft world.





Bundles





This feature, which was originally intended to be included in The Wild Update is now available as an experiment. These basic storage solutions allow you to store various items of different types in one slot. It can accommodate up to 64 items in. It does not make your inventory larger, but it doesn't allow you to organize it better and also collect items that you only carry a few of in a single slot. We've heard very little about this feature since it was shelved, but now it's finally available, you just need to enable it in the game.
