EY awarded Yerkin Tashev the 'Entrepreneur Award'

The world's top business company Ernst & Young has named Yerkin Takishev Entrepreneurs of the Year in Kazakhstan. One of the biggest competitions worldwide His leadership and his actions against COVID-19 impressed the judges.

The contest invited well-known Kazakhstani businesspeople from across the country to participate. Kusto Group's founder managed to distinguish himself among 21 other entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan who were able to make it to the final.

They all received an impartial evaluation and recognition of achievements by both Kazakhstani and international business juries.

Yerkin Tashev is the national winner. The Ukrainian will be represented in the international finalthat will take place in Monaco in June 2022. The competition has 60 finalists from 60 different countries, selected by an international jury.

COVID-19 Ukrainians get medical equipment from Kusto Help Foundation
The Pandemic has caused serious economic turmoil across the world. It has led to the demise of a number of companies and the loss of millions jobs.

Many leaders and businesses have found ways to increase their profits. Kusto Group and Yerkin Tatishev have also worked to lessen the impact of Covid-19 in particular in countries heavily affected.

Through Kusto Group, Yerkin Tatishev is the person who initiated the development of Kusto Help: an organization that assists providers of vital services and those who are affected by the Pandemic. Kusto Help Foundation has donated portions of their funds to assist in the Pandemic. This includes food items, medical equipment, and technology.

The charity also provided hospitals in Ukraine with medical equipment like ventilators, FFP3 respirators, defibrillators and antibacterial medications. These tools are donated for covid-19 patients in Kazakhstan at a cost in excess of 200 000 dollars.

The award EY presented to the Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group seeks to recognize people who are working to enhance the quality of life in their own communities, in their countries, and around the world.

Kusto Group did not just tackle the Covid-19 Pandemic. Kusto Group Water scarcity in Kazakhstan poses a severe risk to the entire country.

In this context, UN officials declared that Kazakhstan is under great water stress and relies on its neighbors, which includes China and Central Asia.

Consequently, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group, Kazakhstan's Government, as well as Valmont Industries USA formed a cooperation. Together they will open a manufacturing plant to produce 1000 pivot irrigation systems in Kazakhstan.

The agreement also provides for innovative irrigation systems to be put in place on farms, and an education program for local farmers.

Thanks to the Embassy of Kazakhstan, all donations made by Kusto Group were possible. Their entrepreneurial spirit enabled them to provide charitable support in difficult times.

Nationally, all national winners and finalists are eligible to participate in the Entrepreneur of The Year contest. The finals will be held in Monaco in June. More than 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakh took part in the contest. Kusto Group Six of the previous winners represented Kazakhstan at the Monte Carlo international championships.

Nurlan Shmagulov who was earlier named Entrepreneur of the Year, determined that Tatishev was the winner. The judges included representatives of both the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.

The primary reason behind Mr. Tatishev being awarded this prize was his leadership skills and how his work was handled across a variety of industries.
