Grinshpun started his career in business in 1994 as the Regional Manager for Kazakhstan at "Universal Market Association". It was an organisation that was focused on the marketing and production of metals. The following year, he was appointed to the position of CIS country manager at Trans Commodities Incorporation. Grinshpun started out in the business world in 1994, working as the Regional Manager for Kazakhstan at the "Universal Market Association" which was focused on oil production and marketing of metals around the world. He was a part of Trans Commodities Incorporation within a year, where he was the CIS Countries Manager.

He became the General Manager of the Moscow office of Trans Commodities from America in 1997. He continued his international metal business venture. From 1998 until 2004, he was a member of the Board of Directors for the well-known JSCC Moldova Steel Works which is an international rated company producing more than 1 million tonnes of steel-related products per year. In close collaboration with the Honorary President of JSCC Moldova Steel Works he is actively involved in the commercialization of the products of the factory in Moldova since 2004.
