It was originally an online game that involved avoiding explosions from hissing cactus creatures. The platform evolved into a blank slate on which millions of users could create and upload their own content and generate millions of views. YouTube today celebrated a record-breaking trillionth view in collaboration with Minecraft developer Mojang. Below is a snapshot of YouTube's remarkable and transformative history.
