The fins of your fish are delicate when it comes to fin rot, so quarantine is recommended to protect them from further damage during treatment.

You can also get fin rot from stress, so make sure your pond is not overcrowded or unsafe for fish when treating your koi. Otherwise, you will have to deal with recurring infections.
