The remnants of the Bastion, or "home sweet home" The remnants of the Bastion, or "home sweet home," as Piglins refer to them, are finally here! This is the Piglins' home. If you look around the world, you might also find remnants of portals from the past.



20w16a: New Features



- Added bastion remnants - Added ruined portals - Added chain blocks - Added an updated music disc called "Pigstep" by Lena Raine which can only be found in bastions



- Added four distinct bastion remnant types including bridge, Hoglin stable, housing units, and treasure room - These massive structures across all biomes of the Nether except the ash-dusted towers that are a danger to basalt deltas - Explore, collect, and take on the remnants of a bastion to make it your home... But beware, Piglins don't take kindly to intruders stealing their possessions



Ruined Portals



They can be found in any overworld or netherworld. Some are hidden under the ocean and others in the sand.



Changes in 20w16a



Increased the number lava pools to make deltas more "deltary". The Piglin banner design can now be found at bastions



Technical Changes in 20w16a



The button was added to the GUI that generates an jigsaw pattern starting from the jigsaw blocks, using the specified depth of generation. - Expanded the max size per axis of Structure Blocks from 32 to 48 - Included a JMX MBean that monitors dedicated server tick times



JMX Monitoring



It is now possible to monitor the server's tick times using JMX. JMX is an established and well-supported monitoring technology with existing integrations and tools.



This allows server admins to connect graphing and alert tools to regular JMX clients or dashboards.



- A new flag enable-jmx-monitoring has been added to the server.properties file which if set to true will expose an MBean with the Object name net.minecraft.server:type=Server and two attributes averageTickTime and tickTimes exposing the tick times in milliseconds. In order to enable JMX on the Java runtime, you'll need to add a couple of JVM flags to the startup as described here.
