Albums that have been hidden and recently deleted are now password secured

The Hidden album in the Photos app isn't hidden, as you can easily find it and it is not practical for properly concealing private photos and videos. Although Apple has the option to make the Hidden album "invisible," anyone with access to your phone is able to make it visible and see everything in it.

With iOS 16 you can now secure the Hidden album. To turn on this feature you don't need to do anything. If you'd like to check it out, launch the Photos app and go to the Albums tab at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down to reveal a lock beside the Hidden and Recently Deleted album. To view what's inside, use Face ID or your passcode.

View and share saved WiFi passwords Apple has allowed iOS users to share Wi-Fi passwords some time however, only by placing two Apple devices near each other. If this feature doesn't work automatically it isn't possible to simply pull the password from your settings. You had to know the password if you wanted to share your Wi-Fi password to another person like an Android user or someone using a PC. Until now.

Continue reading your saved Wi-Fi passwords can be viewed now on an iPhone

In Settings Go to Wi-Fi and tap the tiny icon for information to the right of the network you want the password for. To view the network password, tap the Password section and then utilize Face ID or enter your password to look it up. Then, tap Copy to copy the password into your clipboard, and then share it.

There could be duplicate photos or videos. It may not be an issue if you have enough storage space, but if not it could be an ideal idea to go back and remove every single duplicate -which is now easy to do on iOS 16.

In Photos >Albums You should now be able to see a brand new Duplicates album under Utilities, where Apple scans through all your photos and shows you any image or video that you've saved more than one time. From there, you can choose to delete duplicates, or press Merge, which will keep the image with the best quality (and relevant information) and then move the others to the trash.

You'll want to go through every set of duplicates to ensure they're not similar photographs. To get rid of duplicates, click Select >Select >Merge.

Pin your most-loved tabs to Safari Safari limits your open tabs at 500. And when you're close to that limit, it may be quite difficult to locate the tab you're seeking. It's possible to scroll forever but there's an easier method to locate the exact tab you're looking to find.

In Safari, if you press down on a tab that is open you will now have the option to press Pin Tab. This will bring the tab to the top of Safari, which will show it as an overview of the tab. You can tap to open it.

If you press down to unpin the tab, it will be moved to the first row in your grid of tabs that are open.
