Free Mario download for Minecraft players

Mario is hopping from one computer-generated world to another, as he makes his official debut in Minecraft.
In a brand new update for the Wii U version of the blockbuster game, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Toad, Princess Peach and many more Super Mario Bros characters will be included in the game starting next Tuesday.
The best part is that these colourful characters are free in this age of costly downloadable content.

The Mario pack will bring more than just characters to the pixelated world of Minecraft.
Players can also re-skin the game's items and textures and fight blocksier versions of Hammer Bros. and Dry Bones from the Mario world, all with the soothing sound of the old-fashioned songs from Super Mario 64.
Fans will be able to design their own Mario-themed locations using Minecraft blocks, and then explore new worlds featuring classic faces (albeit somewhat more sharp) from one of the most well-known games in the history of gaming.
A disc-based version of Minecraft for Wii U, including all the Mario extras, is expected to be released in June.
Minecraft has sold more than 70 million copies around the world and is the third best-selling video game of all time.

The game does not have specific goals for the player, but numerous ways to play it.
The game allows players to create their own worlds and locations that can result in some amazing virtual landscapes.
