Rulling In Islam on replicating human forms
There are many authentic Hadiths that prohibit the drawing of animate objects. Among them is the following:
A man once said to Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu’anhu): I earn my livelihood by drawing pictures.’
Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu’anhuma) replied: ‘I will quote to you what I heard Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) saying:

‘Allah will continue to punish those who draw picture until they blow life in to their drawings, which they will never do.’

The man then sighed heavily and turned pale. Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu’anhuma) responded by saying: ‘If you must draw, then draw trees and every other object that is inanimate.’

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 2225, Chapter on the sale of inanimate pictures, and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 5507)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed those who consume riba (interest, usury) and those who pay it, and he cursed the image-makers. This indicates that making images is forbidden. The scholars interpreted that as referring to images of animate beings such as animals, people and birds.

Drawing of inanimate objects
With regard to drawing inanimate objects – which is the second type of drawing – there is no sin in that, such as drawing mountains, trees, planes, cars and the like. There is nothing wrong with that, according to the scholars.

With regard to forbidden kinds of pictures, an exception is made in cases of necessity , such as drawing pictures of criminals so that they will be known and caught, or pictures for identity cards which are essential and which cannot be obtained otherwise, and other cases of necessity.

If the ruler decides that producing images of criminals is necessary, because of the seriousness of their crimes and to protect the Muslims from their evil when they are known, or for other reasons, there is nothing wrong with that. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“…He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you, except under compulsion of necessity …” [al-An’am 6:119]

AS a DESIGNER PERSPECTIVE:

1. Not alive beings are allowed to work on and create diferent kid of art piece because Allah (SWT) has created this universe most superbly and has ordered all His creatures to admire and praise Him for this beautification.

2. Geometrical shapes and trees are used in the mosques as the representation of the Islamic art.

3. Abstract art is also more impactful in contemporary art times.

4. calligraphy is representing the word as the medium of Divine revelation.
