Minecraft Hogwarts: how to Play This Cool Minecraft Harry Potter RPG Map

Looking for the Hogwarts map in Minecraft? If you're familiar with the massive Harry Potter Minecraft map mod that was released as a playable beta release earlier this year. This mod recreates Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and Wizardry in a massive RPG and map game that is part of Mojang's block builders. Now you can enter Hogwarts using Minecraft.



This map is made available by The Floo Network, a modding group that has created this massive and impressive map. They also announced the Minecraft Hogwarts map launch on Planet Minecraft. "Hello everyone! Get your wands ready! We are finally releasing our brand new map, an interactive RPG that runs in vanilla Minecraft!" the post announces, along with the unveiling of the new trailer for download which you can watch below.



The name of the game, 'Witchcraft and Wizardry - The Floo Network', doesn't convey the fullness of what it can bring to the game. As you can see in the clip below, just about all the iconic aspects of Hogwarts and the world of the Harry Potter books are represented faithfully, brick-by-brick. There are shots of Hogwarts the vast, labyrinthine network of halls, dungeonsand classrooms and towers, all brimming with obstacles, puzzles and of course, magic from the series' universe. Unfortunately, we're pretty sure there's no such thing as a Minecraft Hogwarts seed that will magically produce a replica and, therefore, if you're eager to explore the halls of Hogwarts Here's how to find the most effective Minecraft Harry Potter map and be a part of the magic.



How to get the Hogwarts map in Minecraft



If you want to dive into the Floo Network's Minecraft Hogwarts map It is available to download on Planet Minecraft. It is important to note that Witchcraft and Wizardry are only compatible with the Java Edition of Minecraft (versions 1.16 to 1.16.4).



If you're running the Bedrock Edition that's available on PC, then you won't be able to play this version.



Harry Potter Minecraft features



So where exactly do you go in this Minecraft Hogwarts map? You can explore the beautiful suburban street of Privet Drive, as well as the entirety of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. You will find a huge feast packed with delicious food and candles that hang like a genie when you enter its rooms. You will also find many hallways and staircases decorated with portraits of famous students, as well as libraries stuffed with towering bookshelves.



You can also cast spells with your magical weapon, go through dungeons with magic challenges, shop with your friends in Diagon Alley, and even encounter the terrifying Dementors and Cornish Pixies. You can even play Quidditch!



The map has been updated to include a full RPG storyline, complete with all the Harry Potter trimmings you might imagine. Everything from purchasing your first wand, schoolbooks, and robes in Diagon Alley to learning your first flying lesson at Hogwarts. We won't give away any of the major plot surprises, but we will say that you may need to use a Patronus Charm in order to ward off any villains lurking in the shadows.



Most importantly, on Minecraft Hogwarts' grounds, you'll find everyone's favorite half-giant, Hagrid, tending to his gamekeeping duties. The mod's creators would like to thank you for your support and kind words throughout the project.
