Minecraft Hogwarts: How to Play This Cool Minecraft Harry Potter RPG Map

Looking for the Hogwarts map in Minecraft? Minecraft You may have seen the huge Harry Potter Minecraft map mod, which received a playable alpha version earlier in the year. The one that recreates the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a ginormous RPG and map game within the vanilla version of Mojang's Block Builder. Now you can go to Hogwarts with Minecraft.



This map is made available by The Floo Network, a modding group who created this huge and impressive creation. They also announced the Minecraft Hogwarts map's launch on Planet Minecraft. "Hello everyone! Make sure you have your wands in order! We are finally releasing our map; an interactive RPG built for vanilla Minecraft!" The post also includes the unveiling of the new 'download trailer'. You can view it below.



The humble title of the project"Witchcraft and Magic - The Floo Network' doesn't do justice to the value it brings to the table. As you can see in the video below, just about all the iconic aspects of Hogwarts and the world of the Harry Potter books are represented faithfully brick-by-brick. There are pictures of Hogwarts its vast, intricate network of dungeons, halls, and other rooms as well as classrooms and towers filled with annoyances and magical creatures from the series. Unfortunately, we're certain there's not a Minecraft Hogwarts seed that will magically produce a replica, so if you're keen to explore the halls of Hogwarts, here's how to find the most effective Minecraft Harry Potter map and get to experience the magic yourself.



How to get the Hogwarts map in Minecraft



If you want to dive into the Floo Network's Minecraft Hogwarts map, you can find it to download on Planet Minecraft. It's worth noting, the creators recommend Witchcraft and Wizardry currently only works with the Java Edition of Minecraft (versions 1.16 to 1.16.4).



If you're running Bedrock Edition that's available on PC but not on Mac, then you won't be able to play this version.



Harry Potter Minecraft features



So where exactly can you go in this Minecraft Hogwarts map? You can explore Privet Drive, a beautiful suburb, as well as the entire Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. There's a huge buffet stuffed with delicious food and candles suspended like a genie as you enter the chambers. You will also find many hallways and staircases decorated with portraits of famous students as well as a library filled with towering shelves of books.



It's not just a simple map as you can cast spells with your magical wand, explore dark dungeons that have challenges based on magic and go shopping with friends in Diagon Alley, or even encounter some of the fantastic beasts like the Cornish Pixies, or the terrifying Dementors. Quidditch is also available!



The map has been updated to include a complete RPG storyline, complete with all the Harry Potter trimmings you might expect. Everything from buying your first wand, school books, and robes at Diagon Alley, to experiencing your first flying lesson at Hogwarts. We won't reveal any of the major surprise, but let's say you may have to cast the Patronus Charm to protect yourself from potentially baddies lurking in the shadows...



Most importantly, on Minecraft Hogwarts' grounds, you'll find the most loved half-giant, Hagrid, tending to his gamekeeping tasks. "Thank you so much for your support and kind words throughout this project," the creators say in the mod's Discord server. "This map took many years to finish and without your encouragement and support from you that we received, we would not be able to get this far. We are happy to finally present the map that we have created with you!"
