All the Minecraft Cheats and Commands you'll ever Need

Minecraft cheats can be used with commands, code inputs that go into the console and allow you to tweak features and other elements of your game, like teleporting, creating items and much more. Unfortunately you are only able to do this if you're playing the PC version of the game, in which Minecraft cheats are implemented properly. However, cheating isn't possible for Minecraft users on the PlayStation, Xbox, Switch or Mobile versions. However, PC users can learn how to utilize Minecraft commands and cheat to their heart's content.



How to use Minecraft commands



To make use of cheats in Minecraft or Java Edition, either Bedrock or Java Edition, do the following:



Open Minecraft singleplayer Create new world


Go to Game Settings

If cheating is desired for a game you have already started you can edit it by accessing the Game Settings menu by pressing ESC and editing it there. Coordinates are expressed in x,y,z. The x represents the distance east (+) or west (-), from the origin point. Z is south (+) or north (-), from the origin point. The height is between 0 and 255, 64 being sea level. You can also utilize tilde (~) or caret (^) notation with numbers to represent the relative coordinates offset from your current position and the notation by itself representing 0 or that is, there is there is no offset. Tilde offsets are calculated based on the world coordinates, which means that the 5 5 is five blocks on x (east), zero blocks on y (same height) and 5 blocks on the z (north). Caret offsets are calculated according to which direction the player's head is facing in relation to the left, forward and upward axes. Therefore, 5 -5 would mean five blocks left, five blocks upwards (same height), 5 blocks backward.

/kill [player] - Kill yourself (or specified player)



- Teleport yourself or a certain player to the specified coordinates

Clear all effects or, optionally, just the specific effect of the player or entity.



- At an additional level, apply the enchantment to the item of choice for the player. Here is an inventory of enchantment codes



Adds the specified amount of experience points to the player. To add experience levels include the word "levels" at the end of the line.



Cheats and commands for Minecraft the world and environment



/seed creates a seed code that you can use to recreate your world in the future.



- Set the world's spawning location to the current position of the player, or alternatively specified coordinates if entering.



You or a third player can set the game mode (use survival or creative adventure or spectator).

Sets the difficulty level (use peaceful normal, easy or hard)



- Sets the world's game time. Use the following values: 0 (Dawn), 1000(Morning), 6000(Midday), 12000 (12000) or 18000 (Night).



- Disable the night/day cycle and replace false with true to reactivate



- Sets the type of weather (use clear, rain, or thunder) for an option duration in seconds



- Stop weather changes, replace false with true to activate



- Clone the blocks in the area between coordinates and then put them in coordinates at the lower northwest corner.

* /give [quantity]: Adds item to the player's inventory, in the specified amount if item is stackable. A list of codes for items can be found here.



Keep your inventory items until you die Replace true with false to reverse



- Spawns the entity at the location of the player or at the optional specified coordinates in the event of entering. A list of entity codes can be found here.
