Minecraft convention company is sorry about Peterborough's protest-stricken event

The organisers of a convention for the computer game Minecraft have said they are "truly truly sorry" after angry parents criticized it on social media.
However, dozens of people claimed that they spent hours waiting to meet famous players and demanded refunds.

O'Brien Event Management said a new system to cut down on queues would be implemented in future.
The convention, which was not endorsed by Minecraft-developer Mojang, gave fans the opportunity to meet famous "Youtubers", take photographs and play games.
Lisa O'Brien, at O'Brien Event Management, previously said to the BBC that the lines were over 45 minutes because of the number of people who turned to the event instead of buying tickets in advance.
The company also posted a statement on its website, saying: "We are truly sorry that our event didn't meet some people's expectations."
"MineVention is primarily a 'meet and greet' type event, that means queuing but on the bright aspect, it gives children the chance to meet their heroes.
"We have considered all your comments regarding this event into consideration. Going forward, we will be putting in place a queueing system and will be adding more content."
The company also released a statement from Peterborough Arena, which was responsible for catering, that again blamed the "sheer quantity" of people who walked through the doors on the day of the event for the long lines.
Both parties stated that they would respond to all disgruntled parents that have contacted them in due course.
Refunds haven't been discussed, however, some parents have claimed that they were given them the next day after complaining to the staff.
Online ticketing company YPlan stated that it was "actively seeking information from the event's organizer to understand their stance on refunds and will seek to compensate all customers who were unhappy with the event".
