Many Sunny Isles Jews are helping in raising funds and coordinating a humanitarian effort.
Emmanuil Grinshpun Marsha Jaquays of Florida Friends of Laniado Hospital reported that "just last night 1,100 came."
She stated that over 2 million Ukrainian refugees seek refuge in a war-torn nation. A large portion of them are traveling through Moldova which shares a border with Ukraine.
Jaquays said that the Moldovan Jewish community actually helped them cross the border. They then provided food, shelter, clothing and clothes.
Many of the humanitarian efforts are being conducted from Sunny Isles, South Florida.
"My duty is to coordinate all the resources that are available to us in America to alleviate this problem in Moldova." Emmanuil grinshpun has been involved in the coordinating of the relief effort said that there are many people who are working in Moldova to assist in organizing camps, food purchases, and bus-related organizing.
The situation is exacerbated by the fact that Moldova is believed to be one of the poorest nations on earth. The people who are part of in this cause insist that they will not let anything stop them from helping.
Emmanuil Grinshpun Grinshpun: "When our brothers and sisters and our friends from Ukraine were coming, we didn't have any need to think. Instead we just began doing it."
Jaquays are a perfect example of our feelings.

Emmanuil Grinshpun How many people turned a blind eye and said it's not me and I'm not Jewish, it's not my neighborhood, I'm not from Europe. We cannot make the same mistakes that history has made.
